Cookie Policy
Last updated: October 18, 2026
1. Short version
MathMate sets one cookie, and it is the one that keeps you signed in. We do not use advertising cookies, analytics cookies, or tracking pixels. Because the only cookie is strictly necessary for the service, there is no cookie choice to make and no consent banner to accept; the notice on the site is informational.
2. What is stored on your device
| Name | Type | Purpose | Lifetime |
|---|---|---|---|
mm_session | Cookie (first-party, HTTP-only) | Keeps you signed in. Contains a random session identifier, not your name, email, or password. | Up to 30 days, or until you sign out. |
mm_lang, mm_lang_manual | Local storage | Remembers the interface language you picked. | Until you clear site data. |
mm_cookie_notice_dismissed_v1 | Local storage | Remembers that you closed the cookie notice. | Until you clear site data. |
mm_start_trial_offered | Session storage | Avoids showing the free-trial prompt repeatedly in one visit. | Until you close the tab. |
3. Third-party services that load on our pages
- Cloudflare Turnstile runs on the sign-in and sign-up forms to tell people from bots. Cloudflare may set its own technical cookies or storage for that purpose; see Cloudflare's privacy policy.
- jsDelivr (cdn.jsdelivr.net) serves the KaTeX math-rendering files. Loading them reveals your IP address and browser details to that content network, as any web request does.
- Stripe and Google operate on their own pages when you pay or choose "Sign in with Google". Their cookies are governed by their own policies.
4. Managing cookies
You can delete or block cookies in your browser settings. If you block mm_session, you will not be able to stay signed in to MathMate. Clearing site data also resets your language choice and hides the notice again only after you dismiss it once more.
5. Changes
If we add any non-essential cookie or analytics tool, we will update this page and ask for your consent first where the law requires it.
